Online Teaching Experience

"The emphasis on 'above average is also the reason that QM primarily recommends reviewing 'mature' courses -- those that have been taught at least two semesters. If the course has been taught over several semesters, the faculty developer has had time to 'fine tune' the course and to make management and content improvements." -- Quality Matters

Web-enhanced Teaching
Class meets 100% face-to-face in classroom or ITV. Canvas or other online service is used for storing documents, email, grades, and assignment submission. No learning activities take place in Canvas or other online area.
Blended Teaching
Some learning activities facilitated by faculty take place real-time in the classroom or ITV and some learning activities facilitated by the faculty take place online (in Canvas or elsewhere). Percentage of online activity can be determined based on a course requirement of 45-48 classroom contact hours for a 3 credit course.
Online Teaching
All learning activities facilitated by faculty member take place online.
% Online The percent of online activity can be determined based on the course requirement of 15 contact hours per credit. For example, a 3-credit face-to-face course requires approximately 45 classroom contact hours. For a 3 credit course that is 50% online, the class meets approximately 20-25 hours face-to-face and the other 20-25 contact hours are replaced with online learning activities.
